Since a couple of days ago, I've been hearing this loud clunk from the rear right area. I've inspected every nut and bolt and can't seem to find the source of the noise. I've even pulled apart my end links, they seem to be in good nick too. Are the connections meant to be greased up because they're looking a bit dry right now. I've ruled out faulty diff mounts after having had a close look at them. Even tried shaking the crap out of it. My mechanic thinks it could be coming from the top mounts of the shock but I've tighten all three bolts. Have a look at the video and see what you guys think it might be.
I've checked everything that would move under there. The clunk is exaggerated due to the crappy mic on my phone. It's not as bad as it seems in that video. I'll try to get an interior recording done some time tomorrow.
Check your rear swaybar end links, tighten them down while you are under there just remember to hold back with a 6mm allen wrench. Also check the rear diff mount. Good luck.
Oi David, i had these "clinks" few weeks back after driving home and i took it down to Fulcrum suspensions in Browns Plains as they did the installation, turns out it was the endlinks that was loose due to them being new from the coilovers and swaybars and they flex which causes a gap, hence my swaybar was moving. Id take it down for them to have a good look hey they are top blokes and will look after you.
Thanks Eddie. Sounds like it could be the same problem. I might get my mechanic to check it out first since I've already booked with him. He's a top bloke so I want to give him my business haha Would it still be safe to drive on from now until Friday?
