Discolouration of Brake Calipers

My brake Calipers have discoloured and a starting to turn a rusty colour

Any tips on cleaning and/or maintaing normal colouring?

Also will painting my Calipers prevent them discolouring this way?

You can use a product like Prepsol and a toothbrush to clean the up a bit, but it will come back.

Better to paint them

... Or use an angle grinder with a brass brush wheel. They come up a treat!!! Then paint them
