Default Where to get tyres cheap in Brisbane

I have been reading up on tyres on here as my tyres on the 6MPS are nearly gone, however I am reading stuff like $200 fitted for tyres like Hankook Ku31's.

I did a ring around Brisbane but I was quoted $290 each fitted. With me needing 4 changed, thats nearly $400 extra.

Is it just the unusual size for the 6MPS at 215/45/18, or am I getting ripped off?

Any cheap places to buy in Brissie, or should I buy interstate and get them shipped perhaps.

    215/45 is a retarded size, 225/45 is much cheaper/common

also, try st george tyres, they should be able to ship them to you for around $150 ea + shipping

Option 1 seem good value, just checked out their website and really easy to navigate with pricing for their products. Don't mean to hijack the tread but can anyone confirm the KU36 235/40/18's fit the GenII?

I got some 18x8 lenso como rims fitted with 225/40/18 Kumho KU36 tyres for 1500 from tempe tyres, not sure what the individual tyre prices are, but pretty cheap buying from there.

Thanks for all the great advice, I will search around with these suggestions. St George deliver to Brissie for $65 for 4 tyres. That's cheap.

Compared to the stock Bridgestones I could save over $1000! That's crazy.....

For all you guys in Brisbane,

If you want to have your tyres delivered to my workshop (to save the hassle of transporting them to a local tyre shop)
And, I can fit your tyres for really good price too.

A 235 tyre will fit on a 7.5" rim but is not ideal.

Preference is for an 8" rim for a 235 tyre.

I am also not sure if you can fit a 235 on the stock rim and still clear the struts, would suggest some eyeballing and measurement before going that way.

Don't go 235 on a gen 1. 225s will rub with a full car FYI. Worse if lowered.
