Same here Greg, I have had mine for almost the same time and mine squealing as well, as adviced I baby them for over 100km. Unlike MPSI I had the front rotors replaced at the same time the pads went it as I was adviced that the std front rotors werent machinable.

Have a quick flick through my other post:

All I can suggest is give them a good hard bed in process to get them to face up properly, check that all the vibration clips are correctly mounted, and if that doesn't fix the problem we'll look at sending out some of EBC's stick on anti-squeal shims.

Squeal is caused by vibration between the backing plate and the caliper itself, nothing to do with the pad material, and is generally related to the pads not sitting properly.

Also switch the pads side to side, give them a light rub on some concrete while they're out, and give them a good bed in process again.

Just curious, were the standard pad shims left out when fitting the new pads.

An age-old problem with squealing brakes and there are a lot of theories. Showing my age with the introduction of Discs in HD/HR Holdens we used to put two hacksaw blades together and cut a diagonal line just over half the pad braking material thickness. This worked nearly every time. On the ones that didn't stop squealing we drilled a eighth inch hole through the pad in the centre of the hacksaw slot.

One theory is that the air trapped in the piston vibrates and acts something like a reed in a mouth organ. The shim allows an air gap stopping the air vibration. Hence a lot of brakes were fitted with what became an anti-squeal shim, a thin shim that was just over two thirds the circumference of the caliper piston.

Feedback from a 300ZX at Winton on A1RM Street/Track Pads!

I hit the A1RM pads HARD at Winton. ( i also replaced the fluid with Penrite SIN synthetic)

These pads are really good. I had zero brake fade on the stock calipers. I actually wasnt expecting much.

They remained tight and still usable even after the hardest laps.

    Cant recommend them enough.

I need a set of stock A1RM rears for the race car now.

QFM HPX Fitted to VZ SV6!
Got the pads put on today....freaking awesome man. I'll be highly recommending these to anyone who asks. The cold bite and the amount of speed it wipes off is just awesome!

    Another Happy QFM HPX Customer!
Will happily vouch for the HPX's... been running them and find they grab well, dont make noise or dust, and they are made here in Australia for a great price.

You'd be hard pressed to find a reason not to try them

im having the opposite issue, my rears are the ones that squeal like crazy !

the fronts i never hear a peep out of, i have a replacement set here with noise springs to fit but am waiting for the next service to fit them.

the performance of these pads are insanely good, but the squeal from the rear pads is crazy.... its only medium-low speed braking that causes the noise.
