I wonder if the connector will fit with the Ipod/Iphone car kit i have just put in my MPS3, maybe it will make it even better; be good to use the controls.

For anyone who is interested i used the Iphone kit from (Carcomm).

I installed this using a angled dashmount from "Hold my Phone". Now it looks pretty good and allows me to talk hands free and hear the convo over the stereo (although only through the fronts) and charges the phone as well, looks kind of factory, well almost i imagine.

I used a Iphone adapter from (DVD-R, DVD R Media, DVD Cases, Flash Memory, Ink Toner Cartridges, Hardware, Electronics, Home & Décor, Accessories & More) which i modified and extended the microphone to a more useable position near my drivers side airbag.
I then connnected the lot to the aux connector under the center console. (Ater routing it all so that the majority of the wiring is hidden).

The next thing i will do is put a fuse in and hardwire it. If anyone is interested i will try to take some photos and post them up and maybe someone can improve on it. As it is i am pretty happy with it.

Sorry if this in the wrong place or if i have hijacked the thread.

Looks like these are getting cheaper through volume postal discounts. One more into Brisbane and they are 88USD if you pick them up from me!

For those interested, I got the iPod one Mazda were selling and was fitted when I bought my 6, cost me about $300, so this is a bargain. The only difference is the unit I have will cycle through all my playlists, but this can be a pain sometimes especially if you have loads of playlists. However mine disables the iPod so you can only use the stereo controls but the connector is in the glove box so even if I wanted to play with my iPod whilst it was connected I couldn't reach it while driving. Though I thoroughly recommend having this if you have an iPod/MP3 player
