All of the above, I dont care where it is made.. as long as it is quality and good bang for buck.

Latest: USA are only willing to send all units to one person in one package = customs tax + GST, so add 20% to the discounted prices we've negotiated.

    Ie $495 for the ETS + 20% + shipping ($135) = $744US.

Which equals: AU$1050 (on today 0.70 exchange rate)

And please note, there is a forum member who been waiting 3 WEEKS for his TMIC (which is in stock) to be shipped....and his emails go unanswered...

SO, the homegrown option would be preferable. Again, like Nexus, I am in no rush.

Nexus - can we add to the AU Homegrown poll - "Happy to wait a month or 2"??

Those who want it now can take their chances with the US Suppliers?

Support Australia if you can, it's all about the quality (and the economy) that's why chinese crap always fails, not a matter of if, but, when. US supplied parts may be up to the quality though. I'd still rather support Oz.

Just like "Racebitz" and his DIY FMIC, I am also going to fabricate a FMIC setup that I hope to be able to sell too.

I think for the time being we'll presume that if you're interested in AU manufactured, you're willing to wait, as we're looking to petition AU suppliers to develop.

I'd be keener to see some southerners putting their hand up to confirm they would be happy to provide R+D assistance - at this stage that isn't much more than letting a developer measure things up so the real planning can be done.

This would be good as a second poll question, but at this stage I can't see a way to post more than one poll to a thread.

MPS Garage is not our only option!

Don't forget that the Australian dollar has gone back up to 70 US cents.

I have put my hand up but as yet have no response

However I agree MPS Garage should not be the only choice
Something we need for the MPS is more parts suppliers

Our it bumps all prices up, we have noticed that with the jetski industry, as soon as one shop bumps the price up the others usually follow to try and make that extra bit of money because if all the shops are the same price (even if it is expensive) no-one is the wiser.
