Default Gen 2 - Replacing the Battery in the remote?

Has anyone replaced the battery in the remote of a Gen2?

The car told me this morning that the battery is low.

The manual appears to have the replacement instructions for the flip out key remote but not ours.

I can not see how it opens to get the battery out.

There was a procedure write up in the forums somewhere (on mobile atm so can't link you to it)

It involved removing the key from the smart fob and there being tabs to open the case from within (something like that)

yea thats it, remove the key and there is a small panel under that with 2 tabs on either side that you need to pry apart to unclip. A couple of jewlers screwdrivers would be the best tool.
