Thumbs down 6MPS standard rims - Paint peeling? Mazda defect?

    Gday guys,

    Ill make this one short.

Noticd when washing my 2006 6 MPS the other day the rims are starting to 'peel' or 'chip' in places, mainly in inbetween the spokes actaully.

Has anyone else seen this, herad of this or experiancing this?

Is is something i should take up with my Mazda dealer under New Car warranty? As it does annoy me and looks Takky and old.

What would you do in this situation?

    CHEERS,

    Pics attached

Yeah that was my first thought of what the dealer would say. Is your dealer generally pretty good?

    Good points by all.

Yea my dealer is ok, still chucks the "it's normal" card sometimes but.

General wear and tear..... I though of that aswel but just say the paint started to crack or peel or flake off on the body they would have to cover it.

Not noticed this on mine (before the painting), if it was out of warranty I'd say good opportunity to paint them a different colour, try the warranty thing - wouldn't hurt. It could be cleaning products used in the past even high pressure water sprayers can cause damage to the coating on the rims which in time could lead to what you're experiencing now! Good luck with it

    Yea good point.

Just strange that all of the rims are
doing it bar 1. I'll keep an eye on it and tell mazda when I go in next week. I'll post up what happens.

    Cheers
