    Default MPS 6 stock springs

Hi all, I just bought a 2005 MPS 6, have been wanting one for years, Finally got one . Anyway its sitting low, about 87mm and has a set of 225/40s on it. I have to get a Rego check done on it, and these are the 2 things I can see I will need to do. 225/40s apparently not legal or safe on the standard rims either?. I took a couple of wheels of today and had a good look at the springs, they are black. Not sure what they are?! I dont think there eibach as there is no writing at all on them. I know the stocks were black, but these have not been chopped or anything, the bump stop has been cut.

Does anyone know where to get a set of stock springs? Seems impossible to get after market standard springs, there all 'low' ! I plan on doing some things to it but one thing i did not want to change was the ride height, or at least not as much as it is.

Thanks if anyone can help would be much appreciated.

Might be able to source a set 2nd hand if you throw a WTB thread into the buy and sell. Mine will be available hopefully in the next few weeks, but i would imagine you would want them before then?

Those wheels are standard size (99% certain), so no issue with the tires?

The top of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel arch should be pretty big standard, below is a link to my car a few days after i got her (stock as a rock) so you can see the normal ride height you will be expecting.

Fizzy, thanks yeah im not really in a hurry, have another commute car. So id be interested if you want to sell them. Its weird the springs look like the stock ones but i guess they cant be, if I put 225/45 s on it it would bring it up pretty much to 100 mm. Here is a pic of mine, you can see the difference for sure. Click image for larger version.

    Stock size is 215/45/18
You can run 225 on a 7" no ideal, but can be done

Ok, where you at dazza, im ACT, yeah id be interested, no one in this town has a clue about mps 6s. Stock front coil overs and rear separate springs and shocks are ALL different from the standard mazda 6 right, had one quite reputable suspension specialist say the fronts are the same as mazda 6. I still cant figure why it sits so low I have now taken all 4 wheels of and could swear they are OEM springs, and they have not been chopped unless they did a pretty clean job of it.

Im in Melbourne, theres no way they are stock without being chopped, they might be kings painted black for warranty or h&r or something, no text on the springs?
