Mps 3 Gen2 1st service

I have a stock standard Gen2 mps 3 Ive got my 1st service coming up soon, does mazda update the ECU? If not, have i got the right to ask them to "re-set" the ECU? Would either option improve performance, was just curious. Cheers. John!

They will patch the ECU if your software is out of date. It shouldn't do anything for performance in a Gen II.
