    Default Mazda 6 MPS blow engine ?

    Hi

    how are you guys ?

    just a curiuos question here , has any STOCK engine without doin trackdays , racing,.. blown here ?

    best ways to prevent this ?

    is it worth it to pay to clean the admission of carbon build up ? mazda said they could do it to me , but they said it wasnt worth it , my car has 30k miles

    erm...where's mitch?
    dont go WOT under 3000rpm... that's about it really...
    and dont run aftermarket tunes that lean your car out too much

    I'd ask Mazda about how they do carbon clean. My service department uses one that runs through the fuel system and out the injectors. The theory behind it is that it will spray onto the back of the valves and clean them. As the MPS has direct injection, it will just be spraying it straight into the combustion chamber and will have little to no effect on carbon build up on the valves.

    I have used a product from Nulon called Foaming Air Intake Cleaner (supposedly similar to Subaru Upper Engine Cleaner, which I'll be trying next). It didn't make much difference to me but I haven't taken the manifold off to check.
