Thread: CP-E CAI installation

  1. #1

    Default CP-E CAI installation

    Ok

Ive installed the CP-E cai.. looks very nice in there

it was a pain to do some parts hehe but thats just normal..

anyway.. took it for a drive. First thing notice was the nice noise it actually makes noise now lol

secondly.. it feels like the turbo lags a bit more now as opposed to how it was stock..

question is.. has anyone else experienced a slight lag when installing a cai in the mps 6..or do you just have to drive a couple hundred km so the computer can change its intake settings..

ive heard the sri gives a better throttle response.. but sucks more hot air in.

There is no way putting a CAI in will make it lag more. I have the CP-e CAI on my car, it hasn't made it laggier, you are just hearing the turbo induction noise now and that might have changed your perception of how this car makes power.

maybe you're hearing the turbo spooling earlier but it's not moving that quick so you think it's lag

    haha that might be it..
well ive only had it on for 40 odd kms or so

might have to wait for the ECU to adjust to the new air flow..

I've had my SRI on for about 200 km's now and honestly I don't feel any difference in term of power.
    But the noise is unimaginable...
