The QLD State Government yesterday unveiled its latest "Fatal Four" campaign aimed at lowering the road toll.
Four highly visible police cars - painted blue, red, purple and green and emblazoned with the words "speed", "seat belts", "drink driving" and "driving tired" - will patrol the southeast corner of the state to remind motorists of the most common reasons for road death.
Police Commissioner Bob Atkinson said the vehicles would operate in a group to help boost awareness of driving safely and if successful could be rolled out around the state."(This year's toll) still comes back to the fatal four and that's why we've done this," Mr Atkinson said.

Yeah, I saw quite a few of them out today too.

I don't understand, I thought they wanted to be stealth-like.. to catch the sneaky ones.
Eg. the EVO that I spotted heading to Jays the other wkend...
Those boats stick out like a stubbed toe.
At least they look great with that blue oval on the front...

That's exactly right. These vehicles are part of QPS' High Visibility Campaign. They're ever growing fleet of unmarked vehicles are the ones that will catch you off guard. Yesterday I saw a new black SS pull over someone just outside Woodford. No extra antenna, no pursuities, no stickers. The only tell-tale sign was the G5 commercial tint and the 2 Officers sitting inside.
Most new Highway Patrol cars here in NSW are coloured now, Purples, Greens, Reds, Blues, you name it. . .

i have seen the red one and blue one. yet to see green and purple

eep. and i got till sept 10 with jus 1 point!! o geez
