Thanks Chris, speedy recovery im hoping, but I've been told 6 weeks for healing then physio on top
2 weeks gone from this saturday, hoping there isnt any more complications
At the moment I can't bend the leg all, does anyone know how irritating that is?
Lots of meds at the moment too, so I'm having to consume more water
Sleepless nights still and it's a real nuisance to shower at the moment
Fun and games... I have an ipad2, ps3 and a rather large collection of DVDs to entertain me for the time being
Gotta double check my posts because the iPad likes to predict it's own words sometimes
Stitches out, stays look good at the moment
Back to the waiting game for another 4 weeks, hopefully at the next appointment I can take the brace off
Car battery has gone flat, sigh, fixed and my Dad said he would keep it charged for me
All going well, it will be physio after that and then. I'd like to try and get back to driving and working
Wow, i survived 4 weeks with one brace, only to have it replaced with another, sigh ...
New brace allows a 90 degree bend, if that makes sense, however there is a problem
Muscles have deteriorated and i got no movement in the knee area ... physio 3 times a week and im gonna head back to work on Monday
On a side note: My Physio Therapist is very nice
One bonus, i can sleep without the brace but its time and patients trying to remove and fit the damn thing
Haven't driven for about 8 weeks now and thats taking its toll ... its one thing i used to enjoy doing when i wanted to get away and clear my mind ...
Glad to hear things are (slowly) moving forward.
FWIW, your red beast is probably missing you as much as you're missing her.
Hope to see you soon, Matty.
Metal work in my knee may have become a hinderance, My Physio thinks it may be limiting my movement and recovery
Next appointment with specialist in about a week or so ....
Movement now at about 70 degrees, still won't be driving for a long time ...
Work has been manageable ...
Struggling to stay positive minded but need to for the physio recovery
Won't be driving by March, guess I can only hope April ...
Given that you can bend your knee 70 degrees, you should now be able to fit in the passenger seat of my stealthmobile.
Give me a shout if you want to head out for a blast through the hills one day to shake out the cobwebs- I'd be happy to pick you up and take you out for a spin.
Thanks Pete, have been finding it somewhat more comfortable as a passenger, just can't travel for too longcoz the knee stiffens up when I get out etc
Getting out and about now too which is making a big difference, just time consuming with crutches etc
Tried driving the car today, from d/way to the lawn for a wash, it was a little tricky
Only got some much bend in the right leg and that only just gives me enough length on the left to reach accelerator pedal
Won't be taking my chances .. Will have to wait ..
Have gotten rid of the crutches and im now driving the forklift at work for small bursts
Finally back driving a vehicle of some sort !
Got the specialist appointment this thursday and will be asking lots of questions
At 84 degree bend now ... aiming for 90 on thursday
