I have heard of people using turbos with this so wondered if anyone here has..

From what I have read from Hypertech themselves, they are againts the use of the HT with aftermaket turbos, however they didnt sound to be againts running it with modded exhaust.
Im running a HT with all my mods and honestly cant see my self going back to stock anytime soon, unless of course the slackers of Sam and John would hurry up and make AP work for all of us now!![]()

Just a couple of questions guys. I know they maintain a factory warranty, but has this caused anyone to break anything other than tyres? lol and because i have a aftermarket warranty, if it needs to go in for warranty and i reprogram it to factroy settings (to be on the safe side), will the aftermarket warrenty mob know??

Mazda can tell if you reflash the ecu, but I doubt 3rd party people would have the relevant software to perform that test.
I haven't broken anything as a result of flashing.

Mine has been flashed back to std each time before services and no issues, also had turbo replaced under warranty and no issues.
They COULD tell but they wont even check.

I've had 2 services so far and each time I've flashed it back to factory settings the dealer hasn't said anything.

I believe that flashing back to stock makes it look like you've reset the ecu/pulled the battery

I went to the dealer due to start-up issues and they said that the ecu has been flashed. I too flashed back to stock for servicing and nothing was said. Im not saying it will void warranty, but it can if they see it may have been the flashing that contributed to the problem.
Just be aware that they are able to see when the ecu was last flashed. also im pretty sure ecu is non-volatile memory hence taking the battery off won't do anything. otherwise you would lose your base ecu data if you got a flat battery... different to say your fuel trims which are 'learned'
