Starionx, for some reason the first listing the yanks ever have for an MPS6 (or Mazdaspeed 6 in their talk) is the '06 model. I dont think I have ever seen a yank listing for '05 Mazdaspeed 6. Our '05 MPS6's just dont get a mention but dont let that put you off. I intend to buy one of these to use on MY '05 MPS6; just waiting to see if anything happens re a Group Buy. If no GB then I will purchase individually. Either way I will be on it like a seagull on a hot chip.

Check the Hypertech dyno chart (linked from their site). I'm pretty sure it says OK for 05 Aussie 6 MPS.

Dan, I saw that price from truckaddons.com too but wondered if I could be certain to get a unit with MPS tunes. All they seem to list is models for American trucks and SUV's with no mention made of Mazda vehicles at all. Maybe you intend to buy at that right price and then download a Mazda tune from the net?

    Regards,

That's exactly how it works Leon. Get the unit, download the tune off the net.

No worries, I'm VERY tight when it comes to $$ and performance mods, hence all mine have been massive bang for bucks. This falls exactly in that category and was too good to pass up.

Note that if you order shipping to Australia from truckaddons.com they want you to call. I got mine sent via free shipping to my dropship location in the US so it can come across with some other stuff. With the AUD vs. USD = 1 now I've been going nuts with online stores in the US.

The customizable portion is intakes, by the look of it. I suppose that's the most sensitive aspect of a tune?
Reasonable to suggest exhaust, TMIC/FMIC mods etc will see better gains with this than they do on an OEM tune?
Presumably it uptunes with no mods at all....

Guys, I have been running this for a month, and I can confirm it works 100% with my 05 MPS6.

General impression in line with MattMPS3, I feel like driving a different car with super smooth linear power delivery. No boost spike what so ever, boost build up is progressive when I look at the boost gauge. However max power, torque, down low rpm pull produced by HT may not be as high as my previous piggyback tune. Plz see the logs for your info. It contains AEM maps and HKS maps. Seems to me HKS map runs better. 0-100 was run with the AEM map tho.

Very happy I started a thread on this now...you guys were all holding out on us! I feel jipped, given that every single sniff of a mod I've done it's been dynoed and put up for all to see
