    Default Replacing fog light bulbs

    Hi guys,

What's the easiest way to get to the fog light bulbs on a first gen MPS 3? I want to replace them with something brighter and whiter with a blue tinge.

Just to confirm, the bulbs are hb4 / 9006 and not H11 right?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi philux, I assume you still have your manual in the car. That's were
I found the bulb listings. Also tells you what screws to take out to get to the buggers. There has also been a post about bulb types.

As for changing fog some folks here have installed HID's. I've installed LED replacements. Not as bright as standard fog, but they have a bright white/blue tinge to them. They're cheap too. Only $20 for the pair. HID's start quite a bit higher to get a quality set. Search the forum, you find it. Good luck.

Boss: Okay, I mean, we can see your bulge.
Dale: Okay, first of all, they're extremely comfortable. And second of all, at this point in your life, if you haven't seen a bulge, well, I just feel sorry for you.

I've ordered something like this for the parkers:
    http://m.ebay.com.au/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?aid=260604174738&sv=W5w%20smd&emvcc= 0

...and I have these installed for the H11 Fogs:
    http://m.ebay.com.au/Pages/ViewItem.aspx?aid=250665220977&sv=H11%20smd&emvcc= 0

They are only 18LED. I bought white, but still have a blue tinge. You can order up to 68LED. I thought they would be too much.

i think its 3 screws on the corner of the bumpers that need to be removed, then you can pull the undertray down enough to reach in and undo the bulbs. i think 9006 sounds about right.

Yeah, sounds about right. In the GenII they're H11 bulbs.

    Thanks for the feedback guys

I ended up replacing the standard 9006 bulbs with some 80w 4750k ones. The left bulb was a pain in the ass to screw back in though. Anyway I'm happy with the end result, the 4750k bulbs matches the standard HIDs.
