Default Help: how to temporarily disable factory alarm

    Hi all,

I’ll be installing a turbo inlet pipe soon which, some of you know, requires the battery to be removed. The problem is, my car comes with factory alarm and I don’t exactly know how to remove the battery without triggering the back-up siren.

Does anyone know how to temporarily disable the alarm while removing the battery?

    Cheers,

    Taz

Put the cars key position in either ON or ACC and then disconnect the battery

    Thanks for the input, tricache!

Quick question, to re-arm the alarm, do I need to do anything special? Or simply just re-connect the battery and switch the key position back to OFF?

    Thanks again.
