I'm curious guys, does this unit (or the Polaris you are talking about) plug into the audio system the same way the ipod connector does? If so can you plug your ipod into this still?

The polaris comes with a long IPOD cable so IPOD just connects like a normal one would.

I have had one of the Polaris units for just on 12 months, 1 month before the warranty ran out the gps module died. I have been having a whole bunch of trouble trying to get it repaired/replaced under warranty, so please beware !.

you are asking for trouble you know..

screens,GPS modules and general headaches with those things. I get hte emails daily on the OEM maker of the things. its a fraction of what that is and the quality really shows through (ie BAD!)
