Gen ii smart turn feature

Am I the only one who finds it strange that Mazda equips their cars with these features ("smart turn," "auto lock" etc) and then makes their customers go hunting for them? Sometimes at dealerships who want to play the "we don't know what you're talking about" game? It seems it would have been easier to just give their customers the good stuff... Or am I just being a synical schmuck?

My theory is the cars come into the country with everything turned off an Mazda Australia program to "Australian Standards"

Maybe they are just lazy and to save time the only choose a select few

Wish I still had contacts at Mazda. Oh well
