I updated the Hypertech unit on my PC then installed the tune ( GEN 1 ).
I am continually getting a CEL. When I remove the tune the CEL dissappears. Any ideas????

Yeah, I used the unit to clear the CEl but it comes back after I turn the car off and start it again...... I have a CPE Xcel-Nano which I select.
I also used a scanguage to clear the CEL & same thing. Do you think it may be that I may have an air leak or loose hose???

It does come up but I have ignored it. I'll get the code tonight & post it up tomorrow. Good point though, Cheers.
How do I know what the code means?

See this thread
Mazda 3 OBD CEL codes

Might just be a bank running rich/lean on idle... I'll be curious to find out which code(s) it is.

Ok guys,
It's a P0138 CEL.
This is the discription :P0138 Rear HO2S circuit high voltage ON 2 HO2S ×
Does this mean it's the rear Oxygen sensor????
Why does it dissappear when I remove the Hypertech tune???

High voltage means the second sensor is reading an AFR so rich, it's actually out of the parametrised operating range of the signal. Get your hands on a DashHawk or AFR meter and you'll find that you're more than likely running way too rich... You could try to use an intake map with a smaller diameter.
I don't think this is the case, but you may also have a malfunctioning sensor or a Cat that flows too much.

Thanks Jeev,
I am running 2XS's old SS TBE from hid Gen 1, which when was installed with no Hypertech tune was fine. I then used tuned the car with the original Hypertech tune & all was ok. After this I read there was an upgrade for the tune. I downloaded the new tune & installed it & tha's when I started having the CEL. Don't understand why it's only come up now. I'll try a different intake to see if it makes any difference. I'll keep you guys upgated......
Cheers
Sam
