So I have received a CEL and my dash hawk tells me it's a too high a voltage. I have received this code a few times intermittently but this morning I had the code on start up and when I turned the car back off and started again it came back on after clearing it. I drove about half an hour with it on to home then turned of the car cleared it and it stayed off.
Does anyone have any idea what this code means?

Dont think so Sam, could it be more with voltage from alternator? maybe a short thats causing a spike? water on alternator?. wrong message for MAF ( i get the MAF voltage one).
I think my battery might be going, could that be a cause?
Just seems a little sluggish at times turning over.

Just guessing here:
Voltage is governed (at least mostly) by the alternator. A dead / dying battery can draw more or less current (amps) but voltage should be pretty stable unless the battery itself is shorting... In either case, a new battery is an easy place to start, if you continue seeing the CEL, point the finger at the alternator.
you can also check the voltage regulator isnt overcharging,
Put a multimeter on the battery, and it should hold a steady approx 14.4V when car is running. with it off can be anywhere between 10-13v.
If you get someone to rev the car with the multimeter on the battery, the voltage should NOT fluctuate at all. If it fluctuates, that means the regulator is no good.
I am finding out more conflicting info as I go.
I have found that people say the high voltage code is something to do with car running to rich? Then others say something about the second o2 sensor being faulty...
I am more lost now than before....
Does anyone know if it's dangerous to drive?
And anyone in Brisbane know where the best place to go to diagnose this properly would be (without spending an arm and a leg)

Volts too high can refer to a LOT of things. As Luke said, what's the specific CEL code?
I always get p0103 MAF voltage too high when the air temp outside is below 19 degrees... I can't get rid of it :(
Interesting, what intake are you using? guessing the BT build uses a 3" one? That'll be confusing the shit outa your stock MAF sensor.
Ye I'm guessing that's it too, but the ECUteck software if quite limited in this type of adjustment, so I'm waiting for the Cobb AP :(
