Is Tunehouse the only 2nd place that does Ecutek? I thought you were going to go to MRT Cotn? Anyways, good to hear the results buddy. Got a few things arrived from the US so i would be looking into a tune soon, is there a Tunehouse in QLD?

Heh Cton, very very nice to see. I have been missing in action for some time and im stoked that you and your car have gotten over the hurdles.

Very scmick dyno room, and your torque curve is great, also had a look at Jasons .Nice to compare same car with diff mods. Hows the little one progressing. Hope alls good.

Dropped @wookiebmx at Tunehouse to pick up his car last night after being tuned.
This thing is making some awesome torque. ill leave it up to him to post the figures but ill say its a good chunk over 400nm at the wheels.
speaking to Jim and Tony, its very easy to see how him and the rest of the team there are often regarded as the most professional workshop about.
we had a couple of 3rd-4th gear pulls together, and he walks my car pretty easily. @Chris at Tunehouse

Geez..that's impressive. With all that much torque how does it drive day to day ?

When I get tired of the Hypertech I'll go Tunehouse+ECUtek !

WARNING: noob question - Excuse my ignorance, but how does servicing at a Mazda dealer go with a ECUtek turned car ? Can they apply ECU updates with the tune applied ?

Yeah thanks to @Cton for dropping me out to Tunehouse late last night to pick up the car.

Very happy with the results that Jim and team got from my car. 210kw/437nm

    Here are the dyno results.

Cheers @Chris at Tunehouse 2 thumbs up.

Do not get your ecu updated via dealer after Ecutek flash , dealer update will wipe your ecutek (money down the drain) Dealer can service ,but notify them strongly that they are not to perform ANY patches or updates to ECU.
Way to many mods, way too much money spent, way way too much time spent = the wifes no 1 Enemy.

Im pretty certain that Jim keeps all the tunes on file, if Mazda overwrite the data its a fairly simple task of getting your tune loaded back on your ECU. But as Oldhead has mentioned, I would avoid getting Mazda to do the update in the first place, in fact, based on my experiences, I would avoid getting Mazda to service my vehicle all together.

not pissed, its good to see how strong these cars are with a coupe of basic bolt ons.
I think this shows that the cat back exhaust may add some torque.
Hopefully going for a run in it today!

Correct Matt ,simple task to reload ,but he would have to drive to Sydney again ,as Jim will not forward his data to someone else to use.

Possible ,but more likely the engine build line that day got a bonus of an extra bowl of rice or extra yen

Torque curve is very interesting Cton, all the others are very similar ,jims room is sealed and air cond so atmosperics dont apply ? I look forward to your thoughts once you test drive .
But it is not that uncommon to have same car ,same engine produce better or worse details.

Maybe Jim has a new tuning technique. Sacrifice the KW for more torque??

Dont forget that on that comparison graph, while the power figures and trend lines look similar, there is varying boost being applied to reach it.

Sort of lends weight to the "Normal/Crazy" engine theory.
