MPS Gen 2 shaky in 6th

Well there was a portion of the left front wheel that uneven rubber wear. Mechanic said could have been due a pot-hole or something seeing that the damage was only on that specific tyre.
I changed both front tyres at the expense of the dealer (whom tried to con me which I eventually got my way), as I bought the car in the condition it was. The after result was that vibes at the lower speeds were gone, but when i got to 90-100 they came back. Turns out, when the dogy dealer had initially placed new tyres in the rear they were not balanced! Sigh.. Went through alot of trouble, getting opinions from a whole lot of people and the problem turned out to be so simple. Just puzzles me why they didn't balance the rears since they were new tyres..
