MPS6 Diff - car wouldnt move in reverse

hi

was reversing at full lock in my mps 6 today and it got stuck..as though the handbrake was on bit it wasnt. then when i tried to go forward it wouldnt...bit more revs and it clunked its way out but it was a loud clunk...


should i be worried? i assume its something with the 4wd setup or the diff?

It's diff lockup, I've heard it before in reverse but it hasn't actually stopped the car (wasn't a worryingly loud clunk). I'm not too sure if it's normal to completely stop you moving though

Normally the drive to the rear wheels is turned off when you're in reverse so maybe there's a fault with the switch that deactivates the drive

If this occurs again try lifting the handbrake one notch as this also disengages the drive to the rear wheels!
