Gen II Clutch Feeling

Hey guys

Got me a Gen II now, and love it, only thing i notice is the clutch feeling is hard to get used to, it grabs at the top

ive talked to some people who say change the engine mount to a 60 duro cp-e and it will be like putting a whole new clutch in

is this true if so ill get one

It helps a lot, I have the SURE engine mount, equivalent to the CP-e 60 one and it is very nice. I've tried the corksport inserts as well, the full engine mount gives a much more positive feel to the clutch by comparison.

You still can't get away from the fact the Gen II has a fairly vague and crappy clutch, but the engine mount definitely helps a lot.

Yea i totally agree with the crappy feeling clutch. It takes alot to get used to. My workmate has a GTI in manual and it feels sooo much more smoother to drive compared to the MPS. Just doesn't have to try as hard if u get what i mean. Thats german engineering for ya.. I have a CPe 60 and its improved a fair bit. Still crappy clutch tho That'll never change haha
