Default Tar on waffle weave, how to remove?

So.. after giving the girl a birthday on the weekend some tar has made its way onto the waffle weave and wouldn't wash off.

Any hot tips on how to remove from the towel? Concerned that next time I use the towel it will make its way back onto the paintwork.

Have you tried soaking it? Mix it up in your laundry tub with some hot water and let it sit there overnight.

Yeah, tried that. Its a matter of making the tar seperate from the cloth. Heat just melts the tar. Pretty sure its on there for good!

hmmm there are products out there that claim to remove things like tar from material, but I can't vouch if they work. Can you scrub that section of the cloth to remove it?

Penetrene dissolves tar - not sure how it'll go on a microfibre cloth tho?
