The NXT is a synthetic wax. Sealant is just another name for it.
One thing that does come up from time to time is that a sealant can enhance the swirls. Maybe this is what was said to you. Best thing to do though is remove them if you have the tools, or fill them before you apply the sealant

I'm always learning new things too. Sometimes I read other people's experiences on this forum or other forums and learn from it.

Thanks for all the good tips guys. Well I got the car back from Altapak here in Newcastle were I got the ventureshield product applied to the car as well as a butt load of dust that I wouldn't expect it to accumulate in 2 nights. Anyhow I'm pretty happy with the application of the film and the price charged. I've just washed it again and the problems I mentioned above are no longer visible. I'll try and take some photos of it tomorrow to post to show the product and see if I can find the smears/swirl marks or whatever the hell they are.

Hey Guys as promised and for those interested here are the photo's of the car with the ventureshield product applied. I ended up having it put on the bonnet, grill, front guards & mirrors for $300 all up. It's not perfect but for the money I think it's still a good deal. In one of the photos I made a point of taking the photo so you could see were the product finished and on the other I didn't. Cheers.
looks to me like some previous owner (or car yard) has painted the cant rail moulds with black and the tape has simply pulled it off!
As a side note, most masking tapes leave the adhesive behind in a lovely mess, if they've been
wet and then dried in the sun. Even if its just the morning dew followed by the morning sun...
The insuing clean up gives the apprentices something to do though haha!!

I would have to agree with the above post.
Probably Been quickly painted by someone at some point.
Those turret molds are not painted. It's a black plastic. If they pulled paint off on the tape it's because someone painted them to look pretty. Painting plastic is not for people who don't know the proper process. Cause it just won't stick....
