Undertook the day today to pamper my car with the whole detailing thing...
Did half the claying of the roof then sat back for a breather...
to my horror 4x small indentations on the roof on the side i was claying...
figured that the indentations came when i was leaning on my elbows when reaching for the centre of the roof....
anyway just a tip for newbies like myself...watch where those elbows go...

Yeah mate.
Mazda 3 roofs are very soft in both the Gen 1 and Gen 2.
In the Gen 2 more than the Gen 1 the bonnets are particularly soft too.

maybe your elbows are to hard?!?! Just a thought

I use this guy to remove dents for me in Perth, he's also rolled my rear guards! Does a great job and you can never tell where the dent wasMost dents that he can get access to the inside panel are removed without a trace. For the roof it would mean removing the interior trim.

Don't know who would be there in Vic though.

Doubt my elbows are harder than anybody else's...
Hmm...have to start hunting...i might just leave them as be as there are plenty of unknown objects falling on cars in Melbourne...my last car had an unknown dent in the middle of the roof with white scratch marks..![]()
