A quick write up today as I didn't get much chance to take "during" pics
This RX8 is a 2004 model. You don't see many of these metallic blue models on the road. This particular car was in for paint correction and Opti-Coat
Quite badly faded headlights due to the UV layer being eroded. A common affliction with RX8s of this age. Ugly and also quite dangerous.
Deep scratching across the whole car. Most of which came out, but some could only be minimised
The wheel faces weren't too bad but the inner barrels were caked with grime
Chemical decontamination picking up a fair bit
The wheel bucket after just two wheels. This is why I use a specific and separate bucket just for wheels.
Looking better
Foam wash
Lots of moderate to heavy swirling across the car
Paint depths varying between low 80s and 100 micron. About what I'd expect for an RX8 of this age in reasonable condition.
Post correction.
