Default HZ 1 Tonner Summernats Detail

My next door neighbour Mark's project car is finally built and ready for the Summernats.

I offered to give it a bit of love, on its 13 year old paint job, before he went postal down in Canberra.

Feast your eyes on a LS2 powered burnout monster lol.

    Mark and beer

Off to load in the car trailer

May have been a bit excited

It was supposed to be a simple light correction.

What I didnt realise until I started claying the paint, was that it had overspray all over it, and a shit load of swirls and holograms

The job turned into a 4 stage heavy correction, which I managed to do in 1.5 days.

Needless to say I am completely knackered lol.

    Wash
    Clay
    Wipe over
Heavy cut with high cut pad
    Heavy cut with Medium pad
    Light cut with medium pad
    Light cut with finishing pad

    2 coats of OCW
    2 coats of Chemguys 5050

Yeah to be expected. Old cars and also single stage paint are the two biggest pad killers. At least that one looked like it wasn't single stage.

Hope you were at least able to recoup some of your costs though

    How are your arms?
