can i clarify what you mean by light dim?
as in when you lock/unlock the car the lights just turn on/off instead of a slow dim/light?
or are you refering to the dash board lights dimming when you turn your headlights on??

also im only putting in a single din alpine iDA-X305. should i go the kanatech or metra? and where is the best importer?

your center console lights dont dim anymore when the headlights are on my headunit does but the lights and upper display dont
