A word on personal attacks

At the end of the day, you may all have differing opinions on weather this is perfectly fine or not.
Regardless, it is against the forums rules and it will not be tolerated.

Many of us here are a tight knit community, for young and old. Personal attacks are not wanted or needed here, if you dont like that - visit the US forums.

My point was, nobody of sound mind thinks a personal attack is acceptable but opinions differ on what actually constitutes a personal attack, it's pretty hard to quantify, isn't it?

(I'm new here so I'm trying to be well behaved and it's hard to tell when you're new what is tolerable and what isn't, I'm not being deliberately argumentative, just trying to establish the bounds)

Essentially what we're trying to establish is a friendly community, all with the same interests - Mazda Performance Series.

Since it's inception in October 2008, it has grown to over 1,000 members. With such growth, there is always going to be "personality clashes" whereby peoples views & opinions do not necessarily equate to our own. Respect the fact that it's their opinion, not yours, and vice-versa and there should not be problems.

We want OzMPSClub to be known as good bunch of people with a wealth of knowledge, and not have the stigma attached as the US Forums have.

This announcement to some might sound harsh, or too late, however 2010 is a new year, and we want it to be a positive and productive year.

I didn't grow up with computers chat sites forums or the Internet ,when I joined OZMPSC I had just sold my courier bus and had temporally retired I Bought a lap top because I Was sick of being called a dinosaur by my computer & Internet savvy wife & children .I want to thank every one for there comments on this issue and Admin & Mods for there patience especially Rowan while I have been coming to grips with this new technology called the Internet It has been for me a steep learning curve .I now and only now realize that when I answer a post I'm not speaking to the individual only face to face man to man like Ive been doing all my life directly ,by phone or by letter in fact I now see in my minds eye that when I post on the forums I Have a invisible audience of 100's perhaps 1,000's it isn't just between me and the other person I was taught by my father to fight my own battles and don't say anything that your not prepared to say directly to someones face call a spade a spade and be prepared to defend what you say , while I still believe that is sound moral advise that I try to live by it is not proper protocol for the Internet forums.
Because what you say effects many people !! Perhaps you can teach a old fart new ways after all ,It's a changing world and I'm struggling to keep up but with your help ill try .

So please try to remember that when reacting to someone else who you think is being personally insulting, chances are they're just a pathetic sweaty virgin in their pyjamas at 2pm, sitting in their mothers damp dark basement posting on an internet forum, rather than getting indignant and sulking just have pity on them and move on.

Troy I suggest your attitude is not good for OZMPS it's better for us all as a community to get along this is an opportunity for all of us to extend the olive branch and leave the past in the past and move on .
By the way your advise to Al is good advise and could I suggest that you change your signature it could be misread by some
