Thanks Dug, much appreciated.![]()

Have to agree AD07.
Mazda can talk all the talk they want...But if they want to provide some credibility in our eyes...They are going to have walk the walk as well.
Yeah hope it gets sorted, but as it stands, definately a pathetic effort by Mazda so far.....
Been reading this forum with interest , Mazda do need to be transparent and honest .but I hope they do get involved i see some light at the end of the tunnel .They did replace my turbo , I think we need to persevere MAZDA corporate wheels are probally slow to turn ,good work Rowan .

I would like to feel rest assured that if I modded my MPS, representatives of Mazda didnt troll thru the forums, searching, analysing everything I've posted in order to systematically black list me.....
The reason why they havent responded in this forum, is that they are too acustomed to trolling................. Pitty nothing changes, and glad I dont own my MPS anymore.

They took no time at all to blacklist my MPS.... Its got nothing to do with corporate wheels, and everything to do with protecting their own interests - in my experience, thats just the Japanese way....

Thank you all for your further comments and enquiring as to what the status is with this.
Firstly, I've been away since the start of November and I am the contact for Mazda.
Secondly, Luke (Mazda Social Media guru) is one man. Mazda is a massive corporation that has policies, procedures and ways about doing things. This is a totally new area for Mazda (and for any car company I think you'll find). It will take time. Time could be months.
Please be patient and rest assured that I won't let this just disappear. I will keep working with Mazda so that we can both be pioneers in the synergy and collaboration between a multi national car company and an online community.
We are pushing the boundaries of what has been done in the past, and as a result things need to be done right. There is a healthy balance between providing too much information and being too involved and not providing enough. Finding that point is what is currently in progress. They don't want to make promises they can't fulfil.
In saying all that, I have a message from Luke for me to contact him regarding his ideas. So if you're going to blame anyone, blame me for not being in the country for the last month and now subsequently being sick!![]()
HI Wardski
I see where your coming from , but how can you say nothing changes when Mazda replaced the turbo on my modded mps ?
I respect the fact that you may have issuses with Mazda and you now have an sti ,so my advice to you is you need to move on .join the SUBARU CLUB and enjoy like minded people . You are trolling this forum seemingly ready to undermine any positives that Rowan has accomplised . I am also glad you dont own a mps , make an old man happy and go peddle your negativity and bitterness elsewhere and leave us HAPPY MPS OWNERS in peace . Thats the Australian way !!!!!!!

Ummmm maybe because its a known fault, and not caused by your mods..... When you pop your motor, kiss your warranty good bye
Mazda has nothing to do with me being in the MPS club. Telling me to go join another club is like saying you should go join a circus, and I'm sure there are plenty of like minded people there for you.I respect the fact that you may have issuses with Mazda and you now have an sti ,so my advice to you is you need to move on .join the SUBARU CLUB and enjoy like minded people . I already belong to Rexnet and WRX club QLd (been a member on and off for 7 years), but at the end of the day, I love the Brissy MPS crew (duggie, Dee, Dan, Talldan, Corey, Rowie, the list goes on), its as simple as that.
Back to topic... The point to my argument being, (and without prejudice or trolling this forum - I'm simply making an opinion without undermining anyones efforts - You forget this is a forum, not a nazzie driven concentration camp) once Mazda lighten up on modifications, the better off they will be.

Stop wingen... where tring to get Mazda to get on board THATS the topic.......
I have been buying mazda aftermarket parts from USA for my MPS. It would be so much easier if mazda could help us out and provide after market accesaries and warranties for these parts here in Australia..after all why do we buy MPS's?....... ZOOM ZOOM!! why not tailor these cars that we love to suit our needs even more!! Plus not to mention the extra $$ for doing this for mazda. but i would be willing to throw $$ at mazda to do this ( when im read to buy a new car ).. esp if mazda would sevice these parts as well... win for all....
To have a Mazda presents here proving advice would be invaluable.............![]()

Thanks for your feedback guys, please stay on topic:mod:
Have we heard anything from Mazda yet?
Give us access to 'Mazdaspeed' stuff Mazda!!
There is federal legislation in place in this country that prohibits a car maker from promoting anything to do with "speed". They would have to re-badge all the Mazdaspeed gear which would only add to the cost. I can tell you they have looked at it and the business case just doesn't stand up.
I think the fact that they've looked at doing something like this shows that they are on our side, but their hands are tied.

Hi all,
I thought I would provide you with an update. I have just finished a phone conference with Luke & Ben from Mazda regarding the future of Mazda's online presence (not just with us, but in general).
Essentially Mazda are redeveloping their website and online presence to something that has never been seen before by an automotive manufacturer. Plans are still in the works and are awaiting approval so not too much can be disclosed, but it involves much more collaboration with online communities, syndicated information and a platform for owners to ask the questions they want. Many of the things we have highlighted in this thread.
This is a medium-term plan and is scheduled to be online mid-2010. But I would expect to see a trickle of increased involvement prior to that.
I don't have any specific things that I can publicly advertise, but I assure you that OzMPSclub's involvement by way of the ideas and suggestions in this thread have been VERY well received. Not just here in Australia, but on an international level. We should be very proud that our club is passionate enough to help this succeed!
More info to come as it becomes available.
Great news Rowan, especially the international awareness part. Does that mean that HQ knows about the huge global demand for a return of the AWD MPS?
