    Default 2XS FMIC on a Gen2

Made the decision a couple weeks back to go with a FMIC on a Gen2 and of course wanted to support local bris based supplier, hence the 2XS choice.

The install took a little over 5 hours as this was the first one 2XS (troy) had fitted to a Gen2...big thanks to Troy for the dedication that went into this install as there was some extra fabrication that had to be done to alter length of one of the pipes as well as additional brackets to support the FMIC nicely.

Troy is also modifying my existing CES SRI heat shield to fit around the new intercooler piping. Fitting is excellent with the only hitch being the that the plastic protector sitting under the front had to be shaved slightly on the inside so it would screw back in flush.

Can't be happier so far as got to do a good run back up the M1 after the fitting and feels like there are some definite power gains . Boost comes on a little quicker than it was and holds nicely.
Trying to get back over to All Star for another dyno run to see how the results come out, will post as soon as I get it done. Also going to do a run on the Chip Torpue dyno on the upcoming dyno day to see differences between the two dyno's.

All the pic's from the install here

You da man Trent. Looks completely stock. Awesome.

Nice one Troy, the piping looks great in black. Powder coated I presume?

    Looking forward to some results.

Nah, I spraypaint them straight from the can. I use Hi-Temp paint suitable for exhausts. It should never peel/lift off.

I'm looking forward to some results too

Thanks Brad, iwatched Troy prepare and paint some of the pipe work and it's great stuff, good coat of hi temp paint and then a gloss fiinish over the top that looks amazing given that it's out of a can

Cheers Dan, Troy outdid himself again with the fitment of the FMIC, can't wait to see what the gains really are but feel I will get even more after the tune.

Nice work Troy!! How much u charging for one of these bad boys?? BTW, so what exactly happens now to the bonnet scoop? The reason y its stopping me is that i have this bad image that water will just go straight through the bonnet scoop without the TMIC being there...? Especially rainy days, last thing u need is flooding ur engine bay even tho i know it probably wont happen... but thoughts?

Also, was there anything that needed cutting?? On the bumper or? Cause i think the CPE, corksport or Ultimate racing one all require some form of cutting work? CPE even supplied own bumper replacement to allow clearance and good mounting point for the intercooler..
