I am trying to install these. Taken everything apart OK. When trying to bolt them down it does not work. The washer on the bolt is the same size as the smaller part of the replacement bushing, which is the same size as the hole in the plastic so it doesn't hold anything down.

In the last picture in the op it appears there is another larger washer. It can't be the mounting bolt sleeves because there is no way they can fit in the new bushing.

I am a bit stuck. Can anyone help?

    Edit:
I went and got some washers. Looks like what need to be done. All on easy once I got some washers and good impressions after a 1 minute drive.

Not that hard, you first lift your arm rest lid, pull the trim over the e-brake, unscrew your gear knob and then lift up your ashtray flap, pull the lot up an dover the gear lever and you should have all of the gear linkages exposed, literally takes 5mins to take out...

interesting, I bolted the bushings on top of the shifter bracket as the washers weren't big enough to cover the holes in the bracket properly like someone above mentioned.

yeah they're your bushings. worked perfectly, it just seems i didn't fit them the proper way as my car had different washers. I guess I should get some that fit.

I bought a small pack of washers from the local hardware store that were big enough to fit over the hole and have the bolts hold down against them, really worked a treat specially with the small spring washers I added to put some tension and let the bolts stay in place.

I'll double check the measurements, so no one else ends up with this problem too.
