Not sure if this is the best place to post, but a mod can move/merge it to the relevant place if need be
after the install + SRI it didnt seem to make that much of a difference, there was more intake noise when pushing the car, but nothing too loud/interesting...
that install happened on thursday, it's now monday, had a few runs around town since then, and a highway run or 2 (put ~120km's on it since install)
run today, here's the latest impressions:
- it seems to pull to 6000rpm much smoother and easier than with stock airbox/TIP
- BPV is certainly noisier...
- it's very hard to STOP at 60km/hr in 2nd, car wants to pull to redline...
- during normal driving it's fine, just wish it was a bit quieter accelerating from highway speeds in 6th (5th is fine...)
- it now torque steers a little/chirps wheels in 3rd where it never used to before, so power is definately up
- feels less like it hits a "wall" at ~3200 rpm, seems to be increasing till ~3500, then "holds" that... still pulls from ~2500rpm tho, not sure if it means it hits the same boost, but later, or if it ends up pushing more boost, dont have DH or anything to compare
it certainly feels like the motor is substantially less restricted now tho
thanks Troy

Less noise is what the Silicone CP-e TIP did for me.
